Teaching Online with Google Workspace
What is Google Workspace?
Google Workspace is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools. It includes the online video conferencing tool Google Meet. Meet takes the headaches out of joining a video call in a classroom or workplace setting. Just set up a meeting and share a link. No worrying about whether students have the right accounts or plug-ins.
Google Meet features currently available at Ontario Tech
- 250 Participants per Google Meet (Will drop to 100 participants July 1, 2020)
- Live stream up to 100,000 users
- Record Meet sessions to Google Drive
- Support on the Web, iOS and Android

- Change Camera or Video Quality in Google Meet - This Google Meet Help resource explains how to change the 'send resolution' and 'receive resolution' to improve video quality in Google Meet. Increasing the resolution may help to improve video quality, but will also use more data.
