A range of tools are available to Ontario Tech University instructors, students and staff through UOITnet (G Suite for Education). This interactive workshop provides an introduction to tools available within the G Suite that may be used for various teaching and learning activities. As examples, some of these tools may be used to help facilitate collaboration, the collection of feedback, or online meetings. Tools that will be explored include Google Docs, Forms, Sheets, and Meet. Basic familiarity with G Suite is assumed. If you have never accessed G Suite tools, we recommend that you request a separate one-on-one appointment prior to attending this workshop. Please email to request an appointment.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Locate the tools that are available through the UOITnet GSuite
  • Create and share new Google docs, forms and sheets
  • Identify at least 3 ways Google tools may be used in a course, workshop or other learning activity
