International Open Education Week
Open Education Week is a celebration of the global Open Education Movement. Its goal is to raise awareness about the movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. Join the Teaching & Learning Centre, Library, Faculty of Education, and the UOIT Student Union as we host a series of drop-in sessions to introduce the UOIT community to OPEN.
Drop in to one, two, or all three sessions. Faculty, staff, and students welcome!
International Open Education Week at UOIT has been generously sponsored by a grant from eCampus Ontario.
-
Why Open Education Week?
- Faculty, students, and staff are interested in discussing and exploring open practices
- Uncertainty exists about open's potential and possibilities
- Solutions are needed for students who are not purchasing books
- Openness fits with UOIT's concept of "tech with a conscience"
-
What's Happening?
International Open Education Week 2019 is part of A Year of Open at UOIT. Through a grant provided by eCampus Ontario, a variety of UOIT Faculties and support units are hosting a series of drop-in sessions open to all faculty, staff, and students on campus. Attendees are free to attend as few or as many sessions as they like. There are also a number of webinars and other online events taking place throughout the world that may be of interest.
