Open Educational Resources (OER)

Open Educational Resources (OER) are free, openly licensed teaching and learning materials that anyone can use, adapt, and share. They help reduce textbook costs and increase access to high-quality, customizable content for students and educators. At Ontario Tech, the OE Lab—a student-run initiative—partners with professors to create OER tailored specifically for Ontario Tech students.
