Mathmatize
Mathmatize is a gamified learning platform designed to support higher-level mathematics education, including subjects like algebra, calculus, and linear algebra.
It offers interactive features such as live polls, graded assessments, and a content editor tailored for mathematical and scientific notation. Students benefit from step-by-step questions, instant feedback, and personalized progress tracking, while instructors can create custom exercises and utilize a growing library of over 20,000 professor-built problems. The polling, assessment tools, and a content editor are built to support formulaic/scientific syntax.

- Individual exercises created in Mathmatize can be embedded into Canvas by navigating to the problem, selecting the “+ Add to” button followed by the “...” menu, and copying the embed code. From there, navigate to the Rich Text Editor view in the Canvas page you want to add the exercise to, selecting “Insert” and then “Embed”.

- Student Log-in Details: Depending on how your instructor has set up their activities, students can access Mathmatize by
- navigating to the Mathmatize option in your Canvas course menu, for courses using it, or
- joining your instructor’s classroom or poll by visiting Mathmatize.com/students.
- Note that Mathmatize activities can also be embedded into course pages and assignments, so navigating to the tab in your course Navigation may not be necessary. Reach out to your instructor for clarification on how to access your course activities.
