Menti Day: July 13, 2026

The Teaching and Learning Centre is thrilled to host our second annual Menti Day at Ontario Tech!

Collaborate with your colleagues and Mentimeter experts to move beyond the poll, and explore the features and potential of Mentimeter at a half-day long, interactive event. Instructors, staff, and teaching assistants are invited to join the fun in-person or online!

Beyond the Poll: Using Mentimeter for Active, Lasting Learning

Monday, July 13, from 12 noon to 3 pm

This workshop is about using structured questioning to understand what students actually know, where understanding breaks down, and how it changes over time.

Drawing on Bloom’s Taxonomy, cognitive science principles around brain-friendly question design, and Mentimeter’s data and tracking features, participants will explore how to build a questioning practice that generates genuine insight; session to session, cohort to cohort, year to year.

The session will be interactive with peer-to-peer learning, and a dedicated hands-on practice time. You'll leave with slides you've built yourself, insights you've collected as a group, and a clear sense of how to use Mentimeter to drive engagement and learning.

This event will be offered in a Hybrid format, and registrants can select their modality on the registration form below. Don't miss out on your chance to save your seat!
