The Teaching and Learning Centre is thrilled to invite you to Menti Day at Ontario Tech!
Collaborate with your colleagues and Mentimeter experts to move beyond the lecture, and explore the features and potential of Mentimeter at a day-long, interactive event. Join the fun in-person or online!

Beyond the Lecture: Enhancing Engagement, Learning, and Feedback with Mentimeter

Introduction to Mentimeter and Student Engagement Best Practices
In this session, you'll learn how Mentimeter can transform your classes' teaching and learning activities.
- We’ll provide an overview of its key features and benefits, followed by a live demo.
- The session will wrap up with a Q&A and open reflections.
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Office Hour
Stop by our on-campus Mentimeter Office Hour - an open, collaborative space with no formal presentation, just support.
- Bring your questions, ideas, or anything you’re working on. We help with Mentimeter, instructional design, and student engagement strategies.
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Student Engagement Forum
In the Student Engagement Forum, we’ll go beyond the basics and explore some of Mentimeter’s more advanced features while also diving deeper into impactful use cases such as fostering active learning, developing critical thinking, and gathering meaningful student feedback.
- The session will be interactive and discussion-based - we’ll encourage reflections, questions, and sharing best practices from anyone willing to contribute.
- We’ll also showcase real-life examples from other instructors and institutions.
