Tangerine Tech Guides

The Tangerine Tech Guides are a series of tech tool and software overviews designed by students, for students, from the student perspective. If you have difficulty accessing any of the Tangerine Tech Guides, contact the TLC at teachingandlearning@ontariotechu.ca.

Tangerine Tech Guides
Canvas Learn the basics of using Canvas, including navigation, sending messages, and checking grades. 
Google Workspace

Explore the different features of Google Workspace (such as Google Calendar, Docs, etc.) that are available to students.

H5P

Use H5P to create, edit, and embed interactive content in Pressbooks or Canvas. 

Maple (New!)

Analyze, explore, visualize, and solve math problems with Maple.

MATLAB (New!) Use this guide for all things MATLAB: from basic navigation, to creating and understanding different types of matrices and operations. 
Pressbooks

Follow this step-by-step walkthrough to create, edit, and publish a book using Pressbooks. 

SolidWorks (New!) Quickly get started with using SoftWorks to create 2D drawings and 3D models.

First Year Student Success Handbook 

The first year student success handbook curates helpful resource links from all faculties and departments at Ontario Tech to assist first year and/or new incoming students find clubs, societies or resources that ensure personal and academic success.
