Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) is defined as the systematic study of teaching and/or learning and the dissemination of such work through presentations, performance, or publications. SoTL benefits both educators and learners with its purpose to improve learning by implementing optimized teaching practices based on research and evidence to support changes in practice.
A message from the provost
When the pandemic hit we were ready to go online technologically, but not pedagogically, and frankly, we are still trying to understand the new realities of our higher education classrooms. The time has never been more right than it is today for an investment in the scholarship of teaching and learning. There are so many questions that need to be asked – and answered - in a systematic, explorative way, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
